Speak Loud. Stutter Proud.
FluentLoop is a free speech practice platform built for children and teens who stutter. We believe every voice deserves to be heard, not fixed, but celebrated. FluentLoop creates a safe and supportive space where young people can build confidence through real conversation practice.
FluentLoop uses guided conversation scenarios across four difficulty levels. Each scenario simulates a real-world exchange, you hear what the other person says, then record your response. After completing a session, our AI analyzes key speech patterns including stutter frequency, clarity, pace, tension, and severity.
Privacy first. FluentLoop does not store any personal data, recordings, or scores. Everything runs temporarily in your browser only. No account needed. No tracking. Ever.
FluentLoop is developed by Sriram Kumar Tentu and RamTech Solutions LLC. Our breathing exercises and conversation techniques are grounded in evidence-based stuttering therapy approaches including easy onset, slow speech, and diaphragmatic breathing.
We are building toward a future where FluentLoop includes real AI-powered speech analysis, therapist dashboards, progress tracking, and multilingual support, making quality stuttering support accessible to every child, everywhere, for free.
FluentLoop was created by Sriram Kumar Tentu under RamTech Solutions LLC. We are seeking grant funding to bring the full vision to life, for every child who deserves to be heard.

These are proven techniques used in speech therapy. Practice them during FluentLoop sessions and in real life.
Deliberately slow down your speaking rate. Most people speak too fast when nervous. Slowing down gives your brain more time to process words and helps reduce stuttering.
Try it: Say "Hello, my name is..." at half your normal speed. Notice how much more relaxed it feels.
Start words gently, especially ones beginning with vowels. Instead of forcing the first sound out hard, ease into it softly, like a gentle hum that slides into the word.
Try it: Say the word "Apple" by starting with a very soft, breathy "aaa..." then slide into the rest of the word.
Breathe from your belly, not your chest. When you breathe deeply, your diaphragm expands and air flows more freely, reducing tension in your throat and vocal cords.
Try it: Put one hand on your belly. Breathe in, your hand should push outward. This is correct diaphragmatic breathing.
It is completely okay to pause before answering. Taking 1β2 seconds to think before speaking reduces rushing. Pauses feel longer to you than they do to others, and they actually sound confident.
Try it: When someone asks you a question, take one slow breath before answering. Nobody notices the pause, it builds presence.
Intentionally stutter on purpose in low-pressure situations. This reduces the fear and shame around stuttering. When you choose to stutter, you take back control from your anxiety.
Try it: Say "My n-n-name is..." on purpose to a trusted friend. Notice that it feels less scary when you are in control of it.
Maintaining gentle eye contact while speaking builds both confidence and connection. Looking away increases anxiety. You do not need to stare, just soft, natural eye contact.
Try it: During FluentLoop practice, imagine you are looking at the person speaking to you. Hold that calm gaze in your mind.

Before you begin
Every time you speak, you show incredible courage.
That is 1% of the entire global population, and most of them are children.
of all children stutter at some point in their development
more boys stutter than girls, but girls are less likely to recover naturally
years old, the most common age when stuttering first develops
of children who stutter recover, but only with early support and intervention
Stuttering is a neurological condition, not caused by nervousness, trauma, or bad parenting. Brain imaging studies show that people who stutter process speech differently, with less coordination between speech-planning and motor areas. It is largely genetic, about 60% of people who stutter have a family member who also stutters.
Beyond the stutter itself, the emotional toll is significant. Studies show children who stutter are:
Research consistently shows that the earlier a child receives speech support, the better the outcome. Children treated before age 7 have significantly higher recovery rates. Yet access to speech therapy remains limited, especially in rural areas and low-income communities. Many families wait 6β12 months just for an initial appointment.
This is exactly why FluentLoop exists, to provide free, immediate, accessible speech practice to every child, everywhere, while they wait for or alongside professional therapy.

Stuttering does not define your potential.
FluentLoop bridges the gap between professional therapy sessions by giving children a safe, engaging space to practice speaking daily. With AI-powered feedback, guided breathing, and real-world conversation scenarios, we make evidence-based speech practice available to every child, not just those who can afford it.
Discovering your child stutters can feel overwhelming. First, take a breath. Stuttering is common, manageable, and with the right support, many children improve significantly. FluentLoop is here to help your child build confidence every single day.

FluentLoop was built with one principle: your data belongs to you. Since this app is used by children, we take privacy more seriously than anything else.
When you record your voice, the audio is temporarily held in your browser memory only. It is sent directly to OpenAI Whisper for transcription and then immediately discarded. OpenAI processes the audio under their standard API terms and does not retain it after processing. The audio never touches our servers because we do not have any servers.
FluentLoop is designed for children aged 4 and above. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. No account creation is required. The name entered at the start of a session exists only in browser memory and is deleted the moment the session ends or the page is closed.
FluentLoop uses the OpenAI API for speech transcription and analysis. Audio data is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing under their privacy policy available at openai.com/privacy. No other third-party services are used.
